How UK Lotto Statistics Are Calculated
Every statistic on this page comes directly from the UK Lotto draws stored in our database — nothing is estimated or filled in. Each UK Lotto drawing we collect is recorded with its draw date, draw round and six winning numbers, and every drawing is counted exactly once toward the totals above.
Round 1 and Round 2 are identified separately for every draw, using the draw round recorded with each result rather than guessed from the date. That is why the total number of draws analyzed is not the same as the number of unique draw dates — a date that carries both a Round 1 and a Round 2 drawing is counted as two separate draws.
Number frequency is the count of how many times a number has appeared in the draws included in a selected draw round, divided by the total number of draws in that round. "All Rounds" combines Round 1 and Round 2 into a single total; selecting Round 1 or Round 2 restricts every table and list on this page to that round only. Hot and cold numbers are simply the highest and lowest frequency counts within the dataset you select — a description of what has already happened, not a forecast.
As new UK Lotto drawings are collected, they are added to the underlying data and every statistic on this page is recalculated automatically, so a newly published drawing — Round 1 or Round 2 — is reflected here without anyone rebuilding the page by hand. All historical draws are kept, so statistics by year can always be recalculated for any year in the dataset.
Can UK Lotto Statistics Predict Winning Numbers?
No. UK Lotto statistics describe historical results and cannot predict future winning numbers. Each draw is independent, and past frequency does not determine future results.
