How EuroMillions Works
EuroMillions is the largest game drawn in Europe and one of only two on this site whose second pool has two balls rather than one. Its jackpot is the same prize in every participating country, paid in euros or converted to local currency.
Five main numbers are drawn from 1 to 50 and two Lucky Stars from a separate machine numbered 1 to 12. The Lucky Star machine held 11 balls until September 2016, so the first nine months of our archive used the smaller star pool.
Both Lucky Stars are part of the jackpot combination: the top prize needs five main numbers and both stars. Many of the lower tiers can be won with one star or none.
EuroMillions is run by nine national lotteries — in Austria, Belgium, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom — and is drawn in Paris.

Format changes that matter here
- 2011 Tuesday draws added in May 2011 — two draws a week since.
- 2016 September 27, 2016: Lucky Stars 1–11 → 1–12. Our archive starts in January 2016, so 77 draws on record predate star 12.
Checking a EuroMillions ticket
- The two Lucky Stars are checked separately from the five main numbers, and their order does not matter.
- The lowest prize needs only two main numbers — no star required.
- Tickets are bought and claimed through your own country's lottery, which also sets any claim deadline.
- Add-on games sold with EuroMillions in some countries (such as UK Millionaire Maker or France's My Million) are separate draws and are not covered here.
Where these results come from
Every draw is read from euro-millions.com, an independent results site — not an official operator. Its results page shows the two newest draws in a separate block above the table, and our collector reads both so a draw is never skipped. A jackpot figure is published for every draw.
Every draw passes the same checks before it is stored — the right count of numbers, each inside the game's range, no repeated main number, a plausible date — and a failed check skips the draw rather than guessing. Full data sources and methodology →
