How EuroJackpot Works
EuroJackpot was designed as a mainland-European counterpart to EuroMillions, and since its March 2022 overhaul it uses exactly the same 5/50 + 2/12 matrix. Where the two games really differ is in how the jackpot is managed: EuroJackpot caps it at €120 million, less than half the EuroMillions ceiling, so a long run without a winner reaches the cap sooner and the excess is paid into the next prize tier down.
Five main numbers from 1 to 50 and two Euro Numbers from a second machine numbered 1 to 12. Before March 2022 the Euro Number machine held 10 balls, which is why Euro Numbers 11 and 12 have far fewer all-time appearances than 1 to 10.
The two Euro Numbers are part of the jackpot combination. Because the matrix is identical to EuroMillions, the odds of the top prize are identical too: 1 in 139,838,160.
EuroJackpot is run by 18 European lotteries, including Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland and the Nordic countries.

Format changes that matter here
- 2014 October 2014: Euro Numbers 1–8 → 1–10 (before our archive).
- 2022 March 2022: Euro Numbers 1–10 → 1–12, jackpot cap raised to €120 million, and a Tuesday draw added. The first Tuesday draw on record is March 29, 2022 — the archive goes from 52 draws a year to 104.
Checking a EuroJackpot ticket
- Check the five main numbers and the two Euro Numbers as two separate groups.
- For a ticket from before March 25, 2022, the Euro Number pool was 1–10 and there was no Tuesday draw.
- Your national lottery sets the claim process and deadline.
- EuroJackpot draws are Tuesday and Friday; a date outside those days is not a EuroJackpot draw.
Where these results come from
Every draw is read from euro-jackpot.net, an independent results site (the older eurojackpot.org address no longer serves results): its yearly archive pages for the history, and its live results page for the newest draws. Only the live page prints a jackpot, so recent draws carry one and older rows do not.
Every draw passes the same checks before it is stored — the right count of numbers, each inside the game's range, no repeated main number, a plausible date — and a failed check skips the draw rather than guessing. Full data sources and methodology →
