Euro Numbers and main numbers are never combined into the same frequency count — they are drawn from two separate number pools.

Pool change: Euro Numbers 11 and 12 joined the pool with EuroJackpot's March 2022 format change — the first draw on record to include one is March 29, 2022. They have had far fewer chances to appear than 1 to 10, which is why they sit at the bottom of the all-time Euro Number counts. That is a shorter run, not a colder number.

Count, Percentage and Expected

Raw counts only mean something next to what chance predicts. Here are the extremes of the EuroJackpot table, measured that way.

The most-drawn number

Number 20 came up in 97 of 800 draws — 12.13% of them, against 10.00% expected. That is 17.0 above its expected 80.0, or 2.0 standard deviations.

The least-drawn number

Number 25 came up in 65 of 800 draws — 8.13% of them, against 10.00% expected. That is 15.0 below its expected 80.0, or 1.8 standard deviations.

EuroJackpot specifically: Euro Numbers 11 and 12 sit at the bottom of the all-time Euro Number table for a reason that has nothing to do with chance: before March 2022 they could not be drawn.

Standard deviation is the yardstick that makes these counts comparable. In a random draw about two thirds of numbers land within one standard deviation of the expected count and about 95% within two. For EuroJackpot main numbers over the current format: 34 of 50 are within one (about 34 expected) and 49 within two (about 48 expected).

Percentages are the fairer way to compare periods of different length — 12 months against 10 years, say — but they swing much more over short periods: over 100 draws, a single extra appearance moves a number by a full percentage point. That is why the short-period tables on this page can look dramatic while the all-time table looks flat.

The spread between the most- and least-drawn numbers is the size random chance routinely produces. It is not evidence that any number is favoured.
